We're happy to announce a join action between fairtrade.cz and the Prague Food Co-op which will take place next friday in
Muddum Art Centre, including a film screening of 'Black Gold' ('wake up and smell the coffee'), which rocked film festivals the
world this year as the official selection in Sundance Film Fest, London Film Fest, Seattle International Film Fest, Rio De Janeiro

The fairtrade and food coop night is a great way to find out about getting ethical, healthy (and great tasting)
food and produce, as well as finding out about environmentally and socially sustainable alternatives to the industrial
agriculture/multinational supermarkets system which as well as being environmentally and socially destructive in the 'third'
world is having a devastating effect on small local family farmers in Europe too, and adding massively to global climate change
problems through millions of totally unecessary 'food miles'. There will also be a chance to buy fairtrade goods (such as
tea, coffee, chocolate) and find out about the Prague Food Coop and how to join.
Evening Programme:
-Introduction to fairtrade, the idea behind it, where you can get it, and the centre at NOD/Roxy.
-Fairtrade materials available and the chance to buy fairtrade goods.
-Fairtrade FILM 'Black Gold' (see above or click the film preview.)
-Discussion about the film, the fairtrade idea, and examples of practical ways it is helping people,
-Introduction to the Prague Food Coop, our motivations (environmental, social, health)
and a chance for you to ask questions about it and how to join.
-Ideas for possible future cooperation between fairtrade.cz and the Prague Coop.
-Discuss future ideas eg for similar events or other plans.
-Meeting of the Prague Coop to discuss the future.
