Fair Trade Project in Angola
Film screening, discussion and free fairtrade tea and coffee on the night. Free entrance.
The film is about a project currently running in Angola, including the building of an agricultural high school,
which graduated its first students in 2007. The Czech Agricultural University is cooperating with this school.
One member of the project, Jana Mazancová will talk be present at the screening for a discussion after the film.

Beneath the Tarmac...Mud! A creative arts project for alternatives to car culture.
Hundreds are killed or injured every year by cars, and tarmac and concrete has enclosed us and separated us from the natural world.
Muddum Art Centre is organising a creative arts project on the banks of the Vltava, temporarily free from cars and invite children and adults of
all ages to join us. We will create a group sculpture from clay, made collectively from all who participate or pass by and choose to join in.
We will create sculptures of figurines, symbolising the people killed or injured on the roads each year, including pedestrians and cyclists,
with each person contributing at least one figure to the overall work. The final art work will be a joint effort of many people, a community project,
adults and children, with each individual creation being unique. So the project also symbolises the creative community of unique individuals
working together through art. And by using mud as our material we get back in touch with the earth which the tarmac separates us from,
while the great river of Prague flows by on its way. On Sunday 17th, 10:00-16:00, in Smetanovo Nabrezi

A series of films and presentations about the forthcoming G8 meeting in Russia including:
1. Short overview of the anti-G8 Infotour. Presentation and film "Why close the G8?" (Mobilisation film for G8 2005, Scotland; 14. min).
2. Background on the history of the G8-Summit and protests against it, (lecture with Power-Point-Presentation, ca. 15 min. and short films).
3. Short presentation about St. Petersburg G8-2006. 4. Effects of the G8 from those not from the „Global North“, short films from the
"Raised Voices" project: Interviews from people from Africa or South America regarding the politics of the G8.
5. Block Heiligendamm, G8 2007 (ca. 30 Minutes) The political and geographic situation of the immediate region of Bad Doberan and
Heiligendamm using a Power-Point-Präsentation. The situation of various groups mobilising against the G8, their activities and next meetings.
6. Open public discussion. Many of the films/presentations can be downloaded on www.gipfelsoli.org.

Anti-War Film Party II
The International Peace Movement of the Czech Republic present a second night of films. Firsly some interesting
documetntaries around what really happened on september 11. This will be followed by a series of activist clips from UK
anti-war protests and a landmark legal case that followed the polices ilegally turning back and 'coachnapping' 3 coachloads
of peace protesters on their way to the RAF/USAF Airforce base in Gloucesteshire, England. The latter films have been shown
to acclaim in various international film festivals (see www.fairfordcoachaction.org).

Anti-War Film Party Bush-Bash! Friday 4th, 19:00.
The International Peace Movement of the Czech Republic present a night of films including...
extra clips from the crew of 'Farenheit 9/11', comedy, music and dispatches from the anti-war direct action video files.
There will be a sign-making party at Muddum before the film night, from about 13:00. This will be an opportunity to talk and make signs
for the March 20 anti-war demonstration. If you would like to get to know the peace movement better, come early and bring some
